Hi, I’m Bridget knaperek

I am a wife to my very supportive and amazing husband, Gene. I am also a mom of 3 beautiful kids, Christian, Evan and Fiona. In my free time I like to cook, bake, sew, travel and spend time with my family!

I started my path to become a Lactation Consultant in 2019 when my daughter was born 8 weeks early and spent time in the NICU. I have breastfed all 3 of my children, even though things never went how I hoped they would. I navigated my own challenges that included painful latch, low supply, engorgement, lip and tongue ties, exclusively pumping, nipple shields and supplementing. I also had postpartum anxiety, postpartum depression and PTSD after I became a victim of domestic violence.

I really knew I wanted to help other parents when I struggled through pumping and providing milk for my premature daughter. During her NICU stay I learned so much about the benefits of breastmilk. I grew to love what we are able to provide for our children. I also was faced with more challenges and a huge lack of support and resources available to help. I knew from that point that what I wanted to do was to help you feed your baby and reach your goals.

My Approach

I became a lactation consultant because I lived through the struggles of trying to provide breastmilk to my child.

I'm passionate about providing unbiased, evidence-based, and judgement-free support to my clients. I know that breastfeeding and infant feeding decisions can be difficult, emotional, and may be met with judgement from your friends, family, or peers. I promise to make you feel supported, understood, and heard. I believe that the best infant feeding plans make sure that everyone’s needs are met- not just the baby’s. If your feeding plan involves pumping, bottles, or formula, I am here to provide the same unparalleled support and guidance.

The health and safety of both you and your baby are my priority. You are free to share your truth with me without fear of judgement.

Let me work with you and help you build your confidence as a new mom and along this journey.

You’re the expert in your baby- and I trust you..
